Oscar on the score: "This score was particularly fun to do, as I had the full confidence of long-term collaborator, director Yam Laranas. It more or less builds on one main theme that evolves throughout the film, with some additional smaller themes. The main theme is solemn and sinister, portraying the feeling of an inevitable, impending 'bad ending' — heard most prominently in 'Fire Burning' and 'Greed', and in different iterations in cues like 'Trust' and 'I Found It'. Musically I was a little inspired by things like Jeff Russo's score for the series Fargo, which has an existential and sometimes quirky feel. I kept the ensemble fairly small to resonate with the film's setting and cast — basically a chamber orchestra — with a lot of additional recording and production done at my studio, Oceanview Studios."
